Middle of naptime wake up call:
Rudy: "Mom, LOOK! It's SNOWING! Can we go outside?!"
Me: "No, Rudy. It's quiet time. When Avery and Ben wake up, we will get bundled up and go out."
Rudy runs away and returns: "Let's go! Pwease, Mom! I got my coat on!"
Couldn't turn down this much excitement.
And by this point Avery was awake from Rudy's loud voice and loud feet running back and forth.
So to the fresh, first snow of the season we went! (kids went, that is... perk of full-windowed courtyard...I stayed warm inside with Ben and took pictures)
The kids were so happy and having so much fun!
Eating snow...
Throwing snow...
...and proudly showing off his snow angel...
Avery didn't last as long as Rudy. She's a bit more sensitive to the cold, "Mom, I all done. It's freezing!"
And when Dad got home, they were more than happy to help shovel (Rufus included)!
This was just too funny not to share... one morning I took the kids to visit Great Grandma and Grandpa Ballweg and as Grandma and I were loading the kids in the car, we lost Rudy (not lost, just like, "Rudy, hop in. Rudy?"). We turned around to find him like this...
We both couldn't help but laugh :)
