The kids have not been the best lately with sleeping at the same times. On one hand it's frustrating because I can't get as much done, but on the other hand, I've tried to just enjoy the alone time I get with each of them. Rudy takes the morning slot. He usually wakes up an hour or so before Avery. Since I have been having a difficult time sleeping anyway and laying in bed isn't exactly comfortable, I've had no problem getting up to "play" with him (He says, "Mom, pway wif me!" How can I turn THAT down?!). One morning we played soccer, one morning we got out the bean bags and played hot potato, one morning we did some painting, etc. etc. And he is just SO pleasant during this time.
Avery wakes up from her nap usually an hour or so before Rudy. We get to hang out, read books, build blocks, play with her bugs, etc. etc. It's really nice to give her some one-on-one attention, too because she rarely gets it with Rudy around!
Snug as bugs, ready for bed :)
