Bugs, Bows, Bats, and Balls

I need to blog more often, because I can't remember what I comment on and what I don't …and things happen so quickly around here, I don't want to forget anything (especially years from now when I look back)!

Avery loves bugs.  Bugs, bugs, bugs.  And frogs, snakes, worms, etc.  But she also loves her bows.  She sleeps with a stuffed spider and plastic squiggly frog, but also loves her bow and is often reminding me to put it in for her.  And when she puts on a dress (which has been more regularly now with the warm weather!), she twirls, swishes her hips, and says, "Wooow!"  (And Rudy usually comments, "Sissy petty!")

She also loves to play with balls.  She has even put balls in her stroller to take for rides or insists that all the balls ride with her in the wagon.

One morning my mom graciously offered for her and Papa to take the kids for a few hours so I could get some work done…I think it was pretty obvious to her that I needed a break and some time to myself!  They decided to take the kids fishing.  But before they could get to the pond, they needed worms.  Papa and Rudy dug around in Papa's garden to find worms and guess who they would call on to pick them up when they found one?…

That's our girl… worm in hand!

She finds spiders or bugs around our house, which grosses/scares the rest of us, but not Avery.  She squeals in delight and runs toward them!  Who would have thought?  My little girl, of all girls, loving bugs and spiders of all kinds :)
