Our "Thankful for Turkey Tom" - each day in November we add a feather with something we are thankful for, with no repeats.  Kids had to get creative... my favorite - "Day 9: Grown-ups have beers"

Bath time!

I spent the months of September and October training for a half-marathon, a bucket list item for me.  John was going to do it with me, but didn't think training was necessary...  After three kids, I thought it was time to get myself motivated with a goal.  We signed up for a half in St. Louis at the end of October - the Rock 'n Roll Series.  The weekend before the race we did a "practice" 10k at UIS.  John has a picture of me somewhere.. I had a fever and was feeling pretty miserable... but went on anyway!

We finished with great time (for me!), but it wore me out!  I ended up going to prompt care and came home with a shingle diagnosis... needless to say, we didn't get up doing the half the next weekend :(
Back home painting Avery's nails, "Dad does it the best"

My lounge partners

I found an idea somewhere of freezing a bunch of small toys in a bucket of water and having the kids melt it with syringes of hot water... it definitely was a hit and kept them very entertained!

...until this happened (insert eye roll).

Miss Avery showing off her dance poses

The "big girls" have a dressing room/closet, and Avery loves to get to class early so she can hang out in there.

Rudy opted for a big boy haircut over his traditional buzz...

Check out that stud, the morning of picture day at school :)

Bedtime stories with Gran

The funniest picture ever... John sent this to me while he was at work one day of the tour of kids they had had that day... check out the pistol on the far right...

Ben loves baths so much that he refuses to get out, even when the water is gone...
