Super Dad

Cheesers!

John has really taken on the role of Super Dad.  He's been so great with both of our kids.  Having John home since Avery has been born has been the greatest thing ever.  He has been taking great care of Rudy while I focus on Avery and getting acquainted with her and our new routine.  But he also jumps in to help with Avery whenever he can -- and I do the same with Rudy because Rudy's a cool dude and I like his company. He's been prepring most meals -- even if its grilling 6.5 lbs of chicken at one time (we have had some creative concoctions with leftover grilled chicken!).  He helps clean, do dishes, and even laundry.  He runs errands for me, almost daily - to the grocery store, Walgreens, last minute gifts I forgot to have ready, etc.

And Rudy couldn't be happier.  Rudy is attached to his dad.  John can't go to the bathroom without Rudy two steps behind him.  He is loving having so much of his attention!

Check out Rudy's new toy that John attempted to teach Rudy how to use.
Instead, Rudy jumped right in to give him a push, up and down the hallway, over and over...
...Rufus had to be in on the action, too!

And Avery isn't far behind.  She perks up whenever she hears John's voice and she gets so cozy sleeping with him.  Some nights she doesn't want to go right back to sleep after eating and she can't seem to get situated.  All I have to do is pass her over to John and it's snooze-city!

I'm SO thankful to have him as my husband and even more that he's Rudy and Avery's dad.
